Welcome Page: This is the NC 55/Holly Springs Road Project. CH Engineering performed field surveys and design for this major intersection upgrade. The two lane approaches were changed to four lane divided approaches and a state of the art signal design with video detection and metal mast arms provided. Other project features included Traffic Control and Pavement marking plans and preparation of right of way plats.

Engineering Page: This is the Tryon Office Center Project in Cary, NC. CH Engineering provided site design for the 7 acre site with two 34,000 square feet office buildings. Site design included grading, erosion control, infrastructure design, and a 228 parking space parking lot. Two stormwater pollutant control, including nutrient control, and stormwater retention BMP (Best Management Practice) structures were incorporated into the site design.

Firm Overview Page: Parking Deck for the Cary Town Hall Campus: Working with a local architect CH Engineering completed site design for a 450 space parking deck and stormwater management for entire Town Government Campus Re-work. CH Engineering designed site grading, the erosion and sedimentation control plan, stormwater management, and a flagship BMP design for stormwater control and nitrogen reduction.

Surveying Page: CH Engineering survey crew is depicted doing SUE survey. Work like this is most often required in high traffic urban areas. CH Engineering crews are all trained in North and South Carolina DOT safety rules to protect both them and the public. Mission Statement Page: This is the St. Michael’s Episcopal Church expansion project which included grading, erosion control, storm drainage, utility design and a parking lot designed to accommodate 204 vehicles. Parking lot design had to incorporate activity bus turning movements requiring modifications to existing traffic patterns. Particular attention to handicap accessibility was required both for the existing building and the for the expansion.

Employment and Engineering Pages: These two photographs were taken of the Henderson Downtown Redevelopment Project as it neared completion. CH Engineering provided construction documents for roadway design, parking lot reconfiguration, traffic calming, pavement marking, utility rerouting, and handicap accessibility to existing and planned new buildings. As with any renovation project, utility conflicts were a major source of concern. The project required careful design of proposed utilities for new construction while delineating utilities to be abandoned without creating utility line conflicts. Lighting, sidewalks, and landscaping for the project were designed to blend in seamlessly with earlier downtown improvements. Construction phasing was implemented to minimize inconvenience to the driving and walking public patronizing downtown businesses.
